Watch: 2022 Loretta Lynn Ranch Rebuild After Waverly Floods

In April, MX Sports announced “Operation Ranch Rebuild” for Tennessee’s famed Loretta Lynn’s Ranch following tragic flooding in late August 2021. The motocross industry had just celebrated its 40th anniversary at the home of country legend Loretta Lynn. in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee, located just seven miles from the small town of Waverly, Tennessee. The city has always hosted our sport for our week-long motorcycle vacation every year since 1982. When the city woke up to extreme weather shortly after the 2021 Monster Energy AMA Amateur Motocross National Championship at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch, a total of 17 inches of rain fell across the city, leading to an unprecedented tragic day for the citizens of Waverly, marked by severe flooding that left a path of death, injury and destruction, unprecedented in the history of central Tennessee. After the horrific floods, MX Sports presented the Racers 4 Waverly program, which raised funds that would be donated directly to help those affected in Waverly, Tennessee. For three generations of racers and their families, for a few weeks each summer, Loretta Lynn’s ranch has become a kind of second home, a special place where childhood dreams come to life. Many townspeople worked at the event in almost every capacity possible, so MX Sports placed the Racers 4 Waverly as a call to action for the industry to join a charity fundraising program. to support the Waverly community. MX Sports has partnered with our sport’s official charity, The Road 2 Recovery Foundation. The key with the Racers 4 Waverly was that when it was created, every penny went back into the town of Waverly to help the locals. As of May 10, 2022, the Racers 4 Waverly initiative has donated a total of $348,757 directly to the city.

Last month, several industry members from MX Sports, several different brands and OEM teams traveled to Waverly, Tennessee to help rebuild the Ranch’s track and facilities at their own pace, ahead of the National Championship of 2022 Monster Energy AMA amateur motocross in August. 1-6.
