Motocross of Nations announcements will start to filter through at a fairly steady pace as the event quickly approaches. The Netherlands named their team at the end of July, even before there was any confirmation regarding the race, and France listed their three guys yesterday. The United States squad is expected to be announced at Unadilla on Saturday, and then the Great Britain squad will be announced this week or next. There is a lot going on! MXoN will of course not count for Grand Prix points, but it will take place between the tenth and eleventh round of the FIM Motocross World Championship.
With the buzz around the Motocross of Nations starting to mount, it looked like it would be a good time to open it up to fans. Who would you choose to represent Team Great Britain in Mantua on September 25-26? Vote in the poll below and join the conversation on social media (motocrossvice on Twitter). There are a handful of things to consider.
- It is unlikely that Max Anstie will be able to participate in the Motocross of Nations. Where would he even get an RM-450 from? It is possible that he also changes teams, because his contract is pending.
- Dean Wilson is also unlikely to want to run, as he battles the Epstein Barr virus and other health issues. It is possible that he too will change teams.
