“This EVA accreditation recognizes our expertise, capabilities and commitment to electric vehicles and the low emissions we all strive to achieve on our roads.

“This assurance for customers is guaranteed by the extensive training that all team members must take to demonstrate a solid understanding of all-electric and hybrid models.

“This training includes recharging an EV, different models and their environmental impacts, fuel consumption for plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models and advice on service and maintenance.”

EVA encourages retailers to lead the way in adopting electric vehicles in a greener future offering endorsed by the government’s Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) and the Energy Saving Trust.

To be accredited, retailers must demonstrate the highest level of expertise in the sale and aftermarket of electric vehicles.

The Energy Saving Trust verifies the standards required to obtain accreditation.

The trust ensures that staff are competent in their knowledge of electric vehicles and that they have the correct training, qualifications and knowledge of standard electric vehicle procedures.

The NDFA also assesses a retailer’s electrical service bays and charging points available to customers.

“We know that for many customers, electric vehicles are yet to be explored,” said Mr. Woodland.

“Our after-sales and technical staff have received extensive training to ensure that customers receive a personalized and in-depth approach when they switch to an electric vehicle.

“We invite customers to come and experience our range of electric vehicles and allow the team to provide a cup of coffee and a knowledgeable discussion on the future of electrification.”
