ST. TOWNSHIP OF CHARLES, Illinois (CBS) – A hunt was underway Monday night for a driver who struck a 72-year-old man on a motorcycle and left him with life-threatening injuries in St. Charles Township.

At 4:15 p.m., Kane County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to Illinois Highway 25 and Gilbert Street in unincorporated St. Charles Township over a hit-and-run report.

They discovered that a Harley Davidson three-wheeled motorcycle had headed north on Route 25 and stopped at a red light on Gilbert Street, when a red or brown sport utility vehicle hit it. at high speed and then fled the scene. .
