REDBANK TWP., Pennsylvania (EYT) – State Route 28 reopened early Saturday morning after two people were killed Friday night in a collision involving a motorcycle and vehicle.

According to Clarion State Police, the fatal accident involving two vehicles occurred around 9:03 p.m. on Friday, September 17, at the intersection of State Route 28 and Shannondale Road, in Redbank Township, in Clarion County.
Police said the two vehicles were traveling north on Route 28.
Police said the second vehicle made a left turn onto Shannondale Road.
The first vehicle then struck the second vehicle while attempting to pass a third vehicle on Route 28.
Operator 2 and passenger 2 were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Police said information about the operator was withheld pending notification from the next of kin.
Clarion County Coroner Dan Shingledecker was called to the scene shortly after 9:00 p.m.
According to Clarion County 9-1-1, Hawthorn Volunteer Fire Department, New Bethlehem 1 Fire Company, Summerville Volunteer Fire Department, two units of the ambulance service of the Clarion Hospital and Summerville Ambulance Service were dispatched to the scene, along with Clarion. State Police.
STAT MedEvac was also called to the scene.
