Power supply for Samota Motocross Grand Prix 83% Ready: PLN

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – State electric company PLN is ready to provide electricity to support the Indonesia International Motocross Grand Prix (MXGP) in Samota, Sumbawa Regency, West Nusa Tenggara, which will be held from June 24-26. An official indicates that the state of readiness of the PLN is at 83.3% progress.

“PLN’s readiness to supply power to the big event has reached 83.3%, both in terms of grid reserves and power plants. Several works are being carried out in stages to complete the readiness of PLN, namely the supply and support of the network at the site,” said the director of PLN. for the West Nusa Tenggara region, Sudjarwo, said in Mataram on Sunday, June 12.

The estimated total time required to complete all work is approximately 2-3 weeks.

Based on a PLN survey conducted in January, implementing the event would require 1.38 megavolt amperes (MVA) of power.

“For now, the installation of the grid is complete. PLN’s commitment is to supply electricity for all the events, national and international, organized in West Nusa Tenggara. We will prepare the infrastructure; the generators of electricity, transmission and distribution,” he said.

Sudjarwo said that the company has drawn up a work plan that takes into account all aspects and risks, so that electricity in Samota can be provided according to the time and volume required by the organizers.

PLN also signed a memorandum of understanding with PT Samota Enduro Gemilang, a company engaged in tourism and events, related to the electricity services necessary for the Motocross Grand Prix.
