Neenah Motorcycle Shop Stops Selling Russian Bikes | WFRV Local 5

NEENAH, Wis. (WFRV) – The war in Ukraine is having an impact on places like Fox Valley.

Andy Fenwick, owner of Metro Motorcycle in Neenah, said: “Gasoline prices are up, so we’re selling a lot of mopeds.”

Fenwick said sales of Ural motorcycles, a Russian motorcycle, were down.

“They were already starting really big sales this year and now with the conflict we can’t get any units,” Fenwick said.

He said there had been inquiries about the Ural motorcycle but they were making no effort to have more in stock.

Fenwick said: “We don’t want any units at this time showing our support.”

He said if it was the only thing he could do – he would – but he sympathized with the everyday people who are affected.

“The Russian people are caught in the middle,” Fenwick said. “They have to apply economic sanctions and stuff against Putin, which probably hurts him, so they were okay with that.”

Fenwick said it affected more than Russians – people down the supply chain could also be out of work.
