Name released in fatal motorcycle crash in Tomahawk area

Police have identified the man killed in an accident on Saturday morning involving four motorcycles as 67-year-old Michael Tyloch.

The accident was reported on the Lincoln County Highway. See you around 10 a.m. Saturday. The area was just north of County Hwy. U, across from Tomahawk Speedway. Lincoln County Sheriff’s officials said two motorcycles were preparing to turn when two other cyclists collided with them.

Tyloch was unresponsive when rescue teams arrived and was pronounced dead at the scene. Police did not release the name of the community in which Tyloch lived.

Three other people were injured, one of whom was eventually airlifted from a local hospital for further treatment. Another victim was transported by ambulance, while the fourth was transported in a private vehicle. The severity of their injuries was not specified.

Police said Tyloch was not wearing a helmet. No details of the potential citations have been released and the crash is still under investigation.

The crash was one of two fatal crashes in Lincoln County on Sunday. The other involved a collision between two vehicles on the highway. 17 which left an 8-year-old Gleason boy dead. A Merrill man faces homicide charges in connection with the crash. Learn more here.
