Events like these are a big reason why I want to own a motorcycle one day.
I’ve told my story before about how I came so close to owning my own bike just to fill out some paperwork incorrectly and it didn’t work out.
Even if you don’t own a bike, you’ll still want to attend this local event.
Did I mention there will also be a buffet, live music and a raffle?
That crosses a whole bunch off my “fun list” right there.
Mark your calendars for Sunday, September 18 for the 8th Annual Memorial Charity Drive and Ride.
What is the Memorial Charity Drive and Ride?
The ride is in honor of Arthur Szymanski, and proceeds will help families and children affected by a cancer diagnosis.
According to the Facebook events page, the ride will also benefit Oceans of Love and Fight with Fi.
Where does the walk take place?
Runners will meet at 10:30 a.m. for registration at Central Regional Middle School, and it’s $20 per runner.
Runners will start from CRMS through the Pinelands and return via Chatsworth and eventually return to the Waterfront in Lacey for the after-party.
The walk starts at noon.
You also don’t need to have a bike according to the event page, the after-party is open invitation with a $30 donation and will feature live music from the band Sneak Attack.
If you are interested or have any questions, be sure to contact the event page or email [email protected]
