Big news from the team at Intense Bicycles as they stepped up to sponsor the 2022 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship Series with their TazerMX electric mountain bike. The TazerMX is one of the closest cross-over e-bikes out there, with a triple-clamp style front end, license plate, and components from Ohlins, Maxxis, ODI, and more. The bike is also sold exclusively through Parts Unlimited dealers. Their press release can be read below.
INTENSE TazerMX, North America’s first powersports industry-specific E-MTB, is proud to announce its official sponsorship of the 2022 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship Series. Sponsorship is the start of a commitment 3 years for the brand. The INTENSE Tazer MX eMTB features motocross-inspired components from recognizable MX brands like Ohlins, Maxxis, Magura and ODI to appeal to the powersports community and is sold exclusively through Parts Unlimited dealers.
For over 50 years, Parts Unlimited has had a philosophy of “We Support the Sport” which sees the company involved in and promoting the enjoyment of motorsport competition locally, regionally and nationally. The addition of INTENSE TazerMX to the Pro Motocross Series continues that supportive commitment.
“It has been very exciting to witness the crossover of cycling into the motorsports market and we are grateful to Parts Unlimited for recognizing this and launching our INTENSE TazerMX into their dealer channels. We fully align with their philosophy of supporting the sport and believe this sponsorship follows that path. We look forward to helping share the INTENSE TazerMX product with racing fans this summer,” Christy LaCurelle, Board Member, INTENSE, LLC.
At races, you’ll find the INTENSE Tazer MX sprinter van or tent alongside another Parts Unlimited brand, Thor, the series’ official apparel partner. There you can get more information about our INTENSE Tazer MX Expert 2022 contest which will take place at the end of the series.
The first round of the 12-race season kicks off May 28 with Fox Raceway I National in Pala, Calif.
