At the 36th Corporate Excellence Awards 2021, organized by the Management Association of Pakistan (MAP) in Karachi, Indus Motor Company (IMC) received the Best Corporate Excellence Award in the Automotive Assembler category. Mr Shabbar Zaidi, former Chairman of FBR, received the award from IMCs, Managing Director, Mr Ibrar Khan.
The awards recognized companies that have demonstrated outstanding performance while demonstrating progressive management practices in 2020. IMC received the Best in Sectoral Corporate Excellence Award, for the 6th time since 2010, and also won the coveted Global Industrial Corporate Excellence Award, four times.
The price assessment consisted of four phases, namely (a) screening based on dividend payments over the past three years, (b) detailed financial assessment, (c) review of management practices and (d) interviews with The direction. The rewards evaluation was carried out and the results were compiled by a neutral third-party consultant hired by MAP.
IMC Managing Director, Mr. Ali Asghar Jamali, said: “We are delighted to have received this award again and thank MAP for placing their trust in us. For five decades, MAP has played an important role in helping companies achieve excellence. For us, the Toyota Way played a decisive role in this crowning achievement.
