Start times, TV program: The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship returns this weekend to Road America with 35 cars entered in its five divisions.
After a GT racing weekend at Lime Rock Park, the best prototype divisions will return to the track for the first time in a month with DPi, LMP2 and LMP3 in action on the circuit’s longest track (4,048 miles). The next race with the five divisions will be the Motul Petit Le Mans season finale on November 13th.
In DPi, Wayne Taylor Racing’s # 10 Acura leads the championship standings with drivers Filipe Albuquerque and Ricky Taylor, who are 81 points ahead of Mazda Motorsports # 55 duo of Harry Tincknell and Oliver Jarvis .
In LMP2, n ° 52 PR1 ORECA drivers Mathiasen Motorsports Ben Keating and Mikkel Jensen are 35 points ahead of Steven Thomas and Tristan Nunez of WIN Autosport n ° 11. Gar Robinson (Ligier JS P320 n ° 74 Riley Motorsports) is 96 points ahead of Colin Braun and Jon Bennett (Ligier n ° 54 CORE autosport) in LMP3. Ross Gunn and Roman De Angelis (# 23 Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Team Heart of Racing) rank first in GTD with 28 points ahead of Bill Auberlen and Robby Foley (# 96 BMW M6 GT3 Turner Motorsports).
