Factory Lexus driver Jack Hawksworth is set to return to Vasser Sullivan’s lineup at the FCP Euro Northeast Grand Prix from Lime Rock Park this weekend.
Hawksworth will be back in the #14 Lexus RC F GT3, alongside fellow factory Lexus rider Ben Barnicoat, after a motocross injury barred him from competing in GTD Pro races at Watkins Glen and Canadian Tire. Motorsport Park.
Kyle Kirkwood and Kamui Kobayashi were respectively in the Lexus for the races.
The #14 Lexus currently sits third in the GTD Pro standings with four races remaining this season. The racing duo recorded back-to-back podium finishes in April at Long Beach and Laguna Seca.
“I’m really happy to be racing this weekend,” Hawksworth said. “Thank you to everyone at Vasser Sullivan, TRD and Lexus for their support during my injury and to all the surgeons, trainers and physios who helped me get back on my feet so quickly.
“I feel very lucky to be healthy again and I can’t wait to put it all behind me and get back on track.
“I feel fit and ready to go and can’t wait to get back racing with Ben and the rest of the Vasser Sullivan team this weekend.”
