Ford mocks Elon Musk and Tesla in latest ad, says ‘will soar when the going gets tough’ | Electric vehicle news

Ford Motor Company, the American auto major and also one of the world’s largest automakers, by volume, mocked Elon Musk and Tesla, the world’s most valuable auto brand, in its recently published advertisement on the YouTube channel. The ad takes a subtle dig at the Tesla and SpaceX founder and aired during America’s annual horse race – The Kentucky Derby.

In the minute-long video based on VO, Ford pokes fun at Tesla and SpaceX chief Elon Musk, saying, “Right now, it might seem like the only people that matter are the loudest – those who want tear things down, and they fly off on their own as personal spaceships when the going gets tough. The video then shows a scene of a rocket launch, apparently targeting SpaceX.

The ad goes on to state that Ford Motor Company employs 182,000 people, building “big things, new things” and “things that will change the way we do things.” The US automaker, which started with the Ford Model T, the world’s first mass-produced car, is aiming to launch multiple electric vehicles, chasing Musk-led Tesla Inc.

Currently, Tesla is the largest electric vehicle maker in the world with cars like the Tesla Model 3, Tesla Model Y, Tesla Model S and Tesla Model X. Other companies like Ford are struggling to launch a vehicle mass electricity.
