Expired tags lead to Baxter County man’s arrest over stolen motorcycle

A Baxter County man has been charged with theft while receiving multiple misdemeanors related to a September burglary.

According to the probable cause affidavit, a report of items was allegedly stolen from a home in Midway belonging to a man who died in June. The report included a 2007 Suzuki motorcycle, a 2001 Suzuki motorcycle, a 4,000 watt generator, a garden cart and other miscellaneous items taken from the house between June 29 and September 18.

On October 3, 32-year-old Seth Andrew Withrow of Midway was arrested by Arkansas State Police on Cannie Baker Road while riding a motorcycle due to expired tags. The officer says when he checked the plates, they came back as stolen to the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office. When law enforcement told Withrow the motorcycle was listed as stolen, he said it was given to him and he had a bill of sale from a year ago, but he couldn’t provide it at the moment. Withrow also produced an expired insurance card with the name of the deceased on it.

Also, Withrow did not have a motorcycle endorsement on his license.

Withrow is charged with felony theft by receiving misdemeanor charges of driving with expired tags, without liability insurance and driving a motorcycle without a driver’s license. He was released on $3,005 bail from the Baxter County Detention Center.
