The legendary American brand DeLorean Motor Company, Inc. has unveiled the first images of the Alpha5, its all-new electric vehicle (EV). Photos in the gallery explore the coupe’s exterior and interior, revealing clean lines, classic louvers and DeLorean’s signature gullwing doors.

Estimated specs include a range of over 300 miles, a battery of over 100 kWh and electronically limited top speeds of 155 mph.

The vehicle’s accompanying images and details highlight the car’s dimensions, two of its exterior paint colors, including a launch edition that debuts at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in August.

The Alpha5 was developed in partnership with Italdesign.

Historically, the DeLorean-Italdesign relationship dates back to November 1974, when Italdesign was given a project to create a rear-engined 2-seater sports car almost exclusively for the US market.

Troy Beetz, Chief Marketing Officer of DeLorean Motor Company, said, “Drawing design elements from the past to inspire the future, the new electric vehicle visibly showcases its iconic DNA. “The Alpha5 is a representation of the past 40 years of DeLorean. There was this tremendous responsibility of making sure we honored the history of the DeLorean brand, but an even greater responsibility of curating its future…I think that we did both with the Alpha5.

On the new website, Joost de Vries, CEO of DeLorean Motor Company, adds: The Alpha5 is for people who love to drive.

DeLorean Motor Company’s Alpha5 is set to premiere on Thursday August 18 at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in the United States.
