While the term legend can often be easily used, six-time WorldSBK champion Jonathan Rea believes there is no better description for nine-time world champion Valentino Rossi.

Rossi, who ended his incredible 26-year Grand Prix career in last month’s MotoGP season finale in Valencia, will leave a void that no rider can fill.

The overall effect and fan support Rossi has been able to generate over those 26 seasons has without doubt placed the Italian among the greatest sportsmen as he begins the next chapter of his career in 2022.

Although he never had the opportunity to fully test himself against Rossi during their career – Rea only had two MotoGP appearances for Honda in 2012 (Misano and Aragon), the Kawasaki rider is a great admirer of what Rossi has been able to accomplish, especially after understanding what it takes to consistently win in WorldSBK.

“Today I think everyone uses the word legend freely, but he’s a motorcycle legend,” Rea told Crash.net. “It’s funny because when I was a kid [Mick] Doohan was dominating and you didn’t really respect him, you didn’t really understand his dominance because you were so young and stupid.

“I was riding motocross back then as with Rossi he raced when I was a fan of the sport and I watched him dominate for so long.

“Nine world championships is crazy. You know, being the benchmark is difficult. Winning a world championship is so difficult, it’s so much work to do since your childhood, your family and the search for sponsors.

“But to do it year after year and dominate a series like MotoGP is amazing. I can only speak from a Superbike point of view, but it’s a sport as tough and tough as injury or confidence, like a lack of confidence is all too easy.

“So to see what he’s done at the top level is awesome. He looks like an amazing guy and he will text me after a race if I did it right and it was awesome to do a headset swap with him a few months ago.

“Just a big thumbs up for his career, and it will be exciting to see what he does. He is not done with motorsport and has invested a lot in it with his academic program which I can only admire. . “

With Rea focused on resuming the WorldSBK Championship in 2022 after losing to Yamaha’s Toprak Razgatlioglu this season, Rossi will move on to motor racing, although it remains to be seen in which championship.

A new trailer for The Matrix: Resurrections shows Carrie-Anne Moss behind the controls of another motorcycle, this time overtaking Neo.

A new trailer for The matrix: resurrections revealed another amazing motorcycle-based sequence starring Carrie-Anne Moss ‘Trinity and Keanu Reeves’ Neo. The highly anticipated fourth installment of The matrix franchise, Resurrections resumes 20 years later The matrix: revolutions. Reeve’s hero mysteriously finds himself in the artificial world of The Matrix despite his character’s death at the end of the previous film. This new movie’s potential explanation for Neo’s return has been the center of much heated debate and fanfare as the film’s release date draws closer and closer.

VIDEO OF THE DAY

Over the past few months, the film’s promotion has steadily intensified, teasing not only the return of Neo and Trinity, but also new cast members who include Jessica Henwick, Neil Patrick Harris, Christina Ricci and the Yahya Abdul-Mateen II’s alternate version of Laurence Fishburne’s character, Morpheus. Throughout the various trailers, it seems clear that this latest release is purposefully reminiscent of many of the key themes and scenes featured throughout the original trilogy, playing on the universe concept that deja vu is the sub. product of a change in progress. made in the digital world of Matrix. These deliberate callbacks include the practice dojo in which Neo was first taught to bend the reality of the Matrix from Morpheus and the iconic scene where Reeves’ character has his mouth shut by Agent Smith.

In another reference to the original trilogy, a new trailer posted on the official website Matrix: Resurrections‘The Instagram account hints at an action-packed streak with Trinity at the helm of another Ducati motorcycle. Watch the video below:

While the second and third films in the Matrix trilogy weren’t as well received as the franchise’s original entry, Trinity’s motorcycle chase in the second film remains one of the most memorable action sequences. of the whole franchise. Fans who paid close attention to the various candid behind-the-scenes photos that have worked their way online since the shoot wouldn’t be surprised to see Trinity and Neo in a new motorcycle stunt, but this latest teaser promises a whole new streak. sure to compete with the biting chase scene from the second film. Of course, it remains to be seen exactly how or why Trinity and Neo found themselves being chased in this latest outing, although it’s safe to assume the Machine’s infamous agent programs are behind it.

With the original films setting the bar for visual effects and fast-paced action for a whole new generation of filmmakers in the late ’90s and early 2000s, all signs seem to suggest that director Lana Wachowski now has it. intends to raise the ante two decades later. . As you might expect, this latest trailer also continues to raise a slew of questions about how the new film relates to its predecessors, but at least the wait until audiences can find the responses by itself is almost complete. Fans can experience the action-packed return of Trinity and Neo when The matrix: resurrections hits theaters and on HBO Max on December 22.

Motorbike group distributes bicycles, hope for the next generation https://seminoletribemotocross.com/motorbike-group-distributes-bicycles-hope-for-the-next-generation/ Sat, 04 Dec 2021 01:59:00 +0000 https://seminoletribemotocross.com/motorbike-group-distributes-bicycles-hope-for-the-next-generation/

TAMPA, Fla – For members of the new Tampa Motorcycle Coalition, two-man riding is a way of life.

“We all take great pride in riding our motorcycles,” Coalition Secretary Calvin “Diesel” Jones said, “I’ve been riding since I was 18.”

“I’ve been riding since I was 13. So you’re over 20 there,” Coalition Chairman Todd “T-Luc” Lucas said.

But instead of keeping the joy of the road open to themselves, the group is now working to share it with the community, donating at least 100 bikes to local children.

“A lot of us have come from different walks of life and we understand what it means to be without,” Lucas said.

To do this, on December 18, at 18th Avenue Park in Ybor City, they will be hosting a Holiday Bike Giveaway Event. They say their hope is to get these bikes into the hands of children, who otherwise wouldn’t get anything.

“It means everything. See that smile on that kid’s face when he gets in there when he can go with it. You know, something that maybe wasn’t under their Christmas tree this year,” said Lucas.

And if they’re lucky, they say the gifts could inspire the next generation as well.

“We call our bikes ‘two’, you know we ride ‘two’ and that’s kind of a junior version of that. I think anyone who’s a biker at any point in time, you probably started with that here,” Jones said.

If you would like to donate a bike to their cause, the group is also accepting donations until December 16. You can drop them off at the Joker Handle Bar Hut, located at 1100 N 50th St # 3F, Tampa, FL 33619.

The giveaway itself is scheduled from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the park located at 2902 N 32nd St, Tampa, FL 33605.

If you have any questions, you can contact the Tampa Motorcycle Coalition through their Facebook page.

Barbour County man charged after motorcycle chase in multiple counties https://seminoletribemotocross.com/barbour-county-man-charged-after-motorcycle-chase-in-multiple-counties/ Tue, 30 Nov 2021 21:36:39 +0000 https://seminoletribemotocross.com/barbour-county-man-charged-after-motorcycle-chase-in-multiple-counties/

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. – A Barbour County man has been charged after a prosecution in several counties.

On November 25, officers from the Stonewood Police Department saw a man who they knew was not authorized to ride a motorcycle in the Stonewood area, according to a criminal complaint.

Charles Poling

After speaking diligently, officers learned that the motorcycle was registered in the name of Charles Poling, 44, of Belington, and at that point attempted to carry out a traffic stop, officers said.

Poling then began to “drive the vehicle with reckless indifference.” He crossed the double yellow lines in order to overtake the drivers on Cost Avenue, traveled in the oncoming lane and nearly collided with another vehicle as he was speeding above 90 miles per hour , according to the complaint.

When Poling reached the stop sign at Cost Avenue and Philippi Pike, he didn’t stop and accelerated to speeds in excess of 115 miles per hour on I-79 heading south, and weaving “between vehicles and traveling on the middle dotted line, ”the officers said.

Meanwhile, several vehicles “nearly collided with each other as well as Poling’s vehicle”, and after entering Barbour County, Poling was apprehended by deputies from the Barbour County Sheriff’s Department , according to the complaint.

Poling was accused of fleeing with reckless indifference. He is being held at Tygart Valley Regional Jail on $ 30,000 bond.

Garden Ridge Community Police Plan Benefit To Help Another Officer After Motorcycle Accident https://seminoletribemotocross.com/garden-ridge-community-police-plan-benefit-to-help-another-officer-after-motorcycle-accident/ Mon, 29 Nov 2021 04:14:11 +0000 https://seminoletribemotocross.com/garden-ridge-community-police-plan-benefit-to-help-another-officer-after-motorcycle-accident/ Officer Corey Hackenberg continues to recover after an accident in August nearly killed him.

SAN ANTONIO – As a six year veteran of the force, you can tell Officer Corey Hackenberg has made a difference in the town of Garden Ridge. Yet for Holly McKay, he made all the difference in her life.

“He’s just a genuine guy,” said Holly McKay, a Garden Ridge police officer. “He would support me. I would support him and trust him with my life.”

The two work as officers with the Garden Ridge Police Department. The small town, just outside of San Antonio, is emblematic of the department – united.

“We might be small, but for this small community it definitely means something,” McKay said.

This is why August 8, 2021 is hard to say or even believe.

“He had angels with him that night,” she said.

A few minutes after pointing at the police station, Hackenberg was driving home on his motorbike.

“He was heading towards I-35 and another vehicle turned out in front of him and there was no stopping. It was a very bad accident,” McKay said.

She says the officer was hit along FM 3009 and Corridor Parkway. He was hit so badly that the accident almost killed him. After several surgeries, ten days in intensive care and weeks in a hospital bed, Hackenberg returned home. McKay says his road to recovery will likely be long and possibly costly depending on what insurance doesn’t pay.

“That’s why we want to help him and do this fundraising for him so he doesn’t have to worry about the bills,” she said.

The Citizens Patrol Academy is hosting a benefit evening on Thursday, December 2 at the Blue Bonnet Palace at 17630 Lookout Road in Selma. The money raised between 5 and 8 that night will go directly to Hackenberg. This is in addition to the money already collected on a GoFundMe and First United Bank page in Garden Ridge.

“We love him and miss him. We just want him to come back here with us and we’ll do whatever we need to do to make it happen,” McKay said.

For more information on the benefit, visit the Garden Ridge Police Department Facebook page.

Things to consider before buying your first motorcycle https://seminoletribemotocross.com/things-to-consider-before-buying-your-first-motorcycle/ Thu, 25 Nov 2021 21:00:00 +0000 https://seminoletribemotocross.com/things-to-consider-before-buying-your-first-motorcycle/

What we are about to share is not the last word and the end of all opinions. We don’t generally think of bikes as “beginner’s bikes” or “not a beginner’s bike”. Instead, the majority of them fit into a continuum of two extremes. There is no binary definition; it is a question of perception. Much of it is based on the rider’s experience, skills and financial resources, to name just the main variables.

Choosing one of these is an underlying confusion in today’s motorcycle lineup, as every product available appeals to users with the design or engineering skills they have. In this regard, I have a few thoughts on the first motorcycle. These are some basic aspects that will determine your desires, help you judge the bike you are looking to buy, and get you the bike of your choice in its so-called showroom.

Make sure the bike feels good

1992 Honda CBR900RR Fireblade, left side view
via classic motorcycle

Perhaps this is the tip that isn’t often praised, and that’s a shame because it’s so important. Your bike should not only be suitable for your needs, it should also be comfortable. There are a lot of people who start their journey on a racing replica, a bad choice for many reasons, they are quite uncomfortable. Beginner bikes tend to place riders in a relatively neutral position, which provides the best visibility, comfort, and a wide range of motion. It doesn’t matter if you think you are forced to ride a bike with the appearance of a cruiser; if a smaller bisport bike is comfortable for you and keeps you in the saddle long enough, then you can learn to ride faster, and that’s all you have to do with it. Of course, you can get into a position used by experienced cyclists and then fail or push yourself harder if you’re supposed to fall. It’s up to you.

Think about what you would like to accomplish. Of course, these motocross riders seem to be having fun getting the front wheel out all the time. However, if you don’t have a friend with a lot of real estate, dirt bikes might not be the ideal option for you. A cruiser might look stylish, but it might not provide the performance you want. The modern motorcycle is exceptional. Before that, the basic bike or UJM (Universal Japanese Motorcycle) was typical. The less specific an article, the more flexible it is to test different types of driving. Maybe you can navigate along the dirt road here and there, or maybe take part in an event on the track. There is no point in buying an average motorcycle. Still, if you’re unsure what kind of motorcycle you’d like to ride, this is a great place to start.

Make sure you buy at least two

Hope you can hear us. It would be best if you prepared for your first bike to be exactly what it says. This is the first bike you have, not the last you have held. Don’t worry about getting bored with it. You will be. Don’t worry about how cool you look on the “learning bike” because you’re not. After the first year, you will probably be looking for another bike. If buying and selling a motorcycle is “too much of a hassle,” as we’ve heard before, bikes may not be right for you. Motorcycles are generally impractical. They often require more refueling than cars and can wear tires out faster. There is no weather protection. You will often smell motorcycle sweat or fluids. Don’t try to please your friends by not buying a beginner’s bike. You are just an amateur. You have to pay off your debts and be weird for a few months like what other runners have been doing for the past 100 years. Earnings? Learn the art of horseback riding, not how not to die. There is a difference.

Make smart spending decisions

Richard rawlings
Via: YouTube.com

You can cut the round corners as you like; However, sometimes a little cash can give you plenty of options in the entry-level bike and gear market. This is the case with almost all specialty sports such as photography, golf and cycling. As you buy more and more expensive equipment, you hit the limit of diminishing returns, in which you spend a lot of money on minor or insignificant features. At the other end of the coastal lineup, where most rookies come in, the small price difference between two brands often gives you a lot of functionality, comfort, or other features. Take note that at the entrance, the extra dollars here and there can be quite significant.

If not, there is a warranty option to cover you. If you don’t drop your brand new bike in an unusable condition, the new model is the most reliable bike you can buy.

However, a used bicycle can also work. You may have to deal with faults, malfunctions, and previous owner’s insanity. All of this isn’t necessarily bad, but you will have to take an occasional risk. The result is a lower purchase price, often hundreds of dollars less than the all-new motorcycle. It’s not uncommon to buy a well-maintained learning bike for just 10% of the cost of a brand new base bike. Being on the lookout for garage doors in the neighborhood could be of great help. A lot of people want to sell their old bikes. However, they never manage to put it up for auction. It is not difficult to go into the act and get the best deal if you are an open and friendly person. Especially if you are in no rush buying a used bike can save you money and this is one of the reasons their market is healthy.

In general, the older or damaged a used motorcycle, the better you, the buyer, should be able to repair the machine or have it repaired. Every bike breaks, and older bikes break more, and that’s a mechanical fact. I have tried this theory several times, and it is airtight. If you are not ready to take a wrench, you should be prepared to invest a little more. If you’re not prepared to pay a little more, you should be good to go.

Which bike would you resurrect? // ADV Rider https://seminoletribemotocross.com/which-bike-would-you-resurrect-adv-rider/ Mon, 22 Nov 2021 12:02:16 +0000 https://seminoletribemotocross.com/which-bike-would-you-resurrect-adv-rider/

I never thought I would feel motorbike nostalgia for an old bike – after all, for a very long time, I thought bikes were just means of transportation. But as my ride has evolved along with the mileage I’ve covered on multiple motorcycles, I’ve come to realize that there’s one particular bike that I still can’t seem to forget – and one day. , I hope to track her down and buy her, even if it’s just for memory.

The old twin of Africa

The motorcycle in question is an older Honda Africa Twin model. Granted, the new model is sleek and beautiful, but the old one will always be the one for me if I ever put my paws on it. The reason is simple: in 2015, when I returned to Europe after almost two years of riding in South America, I felt ready for a Big Adventure Bike. Which one, I had no idea; I just knew I wanted something more substantial than the 150cc I had left in South America.

Alas, I didn’t have any bikers at the time; I learned to ride on the go, and when I got home none of my friends rode. Luckily, I came across a forum dedicated to Africa Twin owners, and they ended up inviting me to their annual meeting. One of the riders let me ride his Twin for a day of offroad and orienteering, and although at the time the bike was way too big and too powerful for me, I didn’t will never forget the thrill of riding that white, red, and blue beast bike with a pack of other racers chasing each other on wide open gravel roads. Thanks to the kindness of these guys, the old Honda Africa Twin will always be the bike for me.

Have you ever felt nostalgic for motorcycles, and which motorcycle would you resurrect if you could?
