Aurora man, 27, killed in motorcycle crash in Naperville


A 27-year-old Aurora man was killed on Saturday when the motorcycle he was riding crashed while crossing a high-speed railroad tracks in Naperville, police said on Sunday.

According to Naperville Police, Jaelen Morain was one of two riders aboard the 2005 Yamaha motorcycle as it headed east on Hafenrichter Road at high speed around 5:46 p.m. on Saturday.

The motorcycle crossed the train tracks, where it lost control and rolled off the roadway on the east side of Hafenrichter, throwing the two bikers, police said.

Morain was pronounced dead at the scene, while the second runner was taken to hospital with minor injuries, police said. Authorities have not indicated whether they believe Morain or the second person is driving.

Traffic accident reconstruction specialists from the Naperville Police Department’s Traffic Unit attended the scene to investigate, and Hafenrichter Road between 91st Street and Union Mill Drive was closed until approximately 11:45 p.m. .
